With cults it’s all about the leader and following orders as they see themselves as the ones divinely led or the final say on what’s divine says.
When it’s divinely led any & every person is allowed to step in to divine flow & lead. When another leads even the Founders follow & finance as the group is in Divine Alignment.
Divine Alignment doesn’t require rules, only cults do to keep members in check & ensure Leadership rules.
Divine Alignment all are equally important, equally knowing, equally beautiful and amazing.
Cults require absolute loyalty regardless of the actions of the Leaders. Cults require levels in order to ensure only the “Most Loyal” members know & protect “the plan” because not all members would understand.
Both have charismatic leaders that speak some truths. Both have followers unaware of self. Both usually do some good works.
If you find yourself pondering questions, you may be in a cult.
Questions to ask:
Is there a financial accounting to all members of funds coming in & going out?
Can anyone attend Leadership meetings?
Are there leadership meetings?
Does the Mission/Vision align with the actions of leadership?
Are members discussed in their absence?
Can anyone lead a group?
Are the rules meant for obedience or love?
Most of all, trust your gut, it won’t lead you astray. Bring yourself into divine alignment and you’ll divinely know exactly what to do.
